Chthonian: Weeper’s Silence
Name: Purgatory Weeper’s Silence
Alternate Name: Doki Doki Demon
Description: Weeper’s Silence is one of the Unborn Remains. A set of four Chthonians that are a result of Infant Chthonians not surviving the birth process. If an infant does not survive in its fruit the corpse will fall to the ground and be absorbed into it. On some occasions the fetus will be surrounded by dirt which solidifies into a statue similar in appearance to a Dogū. The fetus will then start beating like a heart and long tendrils will extend from its body and burst from the statue. There are eight tendrils in total. Two hold the chest shut and appear to be always in praying position. Two functions as legs while four act as appendages for the Chthonian.
Behavior: Weeper’s Silence will wander the areas they died in and will occasionally do strange dances. On occasion they have been seen opening their chest cavity and lovingly petting the beating fetus that functions as their heart. They produce no sounds but their hollow insides cases them to be loud with the sound of a beating heart.
Threat: These Chthonians are not a threat to humans, however, they are no less unsettling. Humans that have encountered Weeper’s Silence report it either paying them no attention or attempting to interact with them. These interactions usually play out with it flailing its arms like an excited child. During these interactions, the beating heart sound seems to increase tempo although whether this is a positive or negative response is currently unclear.
