Chthonian: Solomon’s Crown
Name: Solomon’s Crown
Alternate Name: Rafflesia Sweet
Description: Solomon’s Crown is a small rabbit-like Chthonian. It has large ears with slits inside containing a light sensitive eye. They only have two paws which they waddle awkwardly on. On their back is a pink lotus-like flower on its back which grants it its name.
Behavior: Solomon’s Crown will wander around interacting with each other usually in playful ways. They will often bury themselves so only the flower is visible. Though they are not afraid of humans they will wander away if one gets close. If an explorer finds the flower and plucks it from the ground the Chthonian becomes docile and friendly towards the explorer. These Chthonians are greatly cherished by both humans and Chthonian alike as their nectar is said to heal emotional wounds. Humans report having phobias, traumas, and heartbreaks become easier to bear once they have consumed the nectar. The eye in their ears seem to be a form of defense. They will flash their second pair of eyes at anything that scares them. The eye on the inside though unsettling is not harmful in any way. Their eyes are functional though and due to their light sensitivity may function like cameras for Solomon’s Crown to store a “snapshot” of what is around it.
Threat: Solomon’s Crown is no threat to humans. Although, due to how treasured they are they are usually accompanied by other Chthonians. These Chthonians are the only threat when it comes to Solomon’s Crown.
