Description: Signals is a strange Chthonian that appears to have a pitch-black body. The head floats just above the body and there is a flap of transparent skin between the arms to the body. There are bulbs in the head in a vertical line while each flap has a single light. These lights are capable of various colours, luminosity, and flashes per minute.
Behavior: Signals are a recently discovered Chthonian and are not well understood as a result. The apparent resemblance to street signs and traffic lights is believed to be coincidental. However, it is also the reason for its name. Signals communicate by flashing their lights in various colours and posing their bodies in different shapes. They do appear to make vocalizations although how is unclear as of now. Vocalizations include ticking, ringing, and on rare occasions what appear to be sirens and morse code. The second name is literally Unidentified Mysterious Animal Lights as a bit of a play on UFO as Signals is capable of gliding with its flaps.
Threat: Due to the limited amount of information about Signal, there is not a clear measurement of its threat to humans. It is believed the worst signal will do is mislead people. However, this only becomes a concern if they appear in places with advanced infrastructure such as cities. The other potential threat would be if a traveler mistakes them for the benevolent Swimming Seeds.
