Chthonian: Kline
Name: Kline
Alternate Name: Daogan
Description: Kline are draconic Chthonians that appear on the opposite side of a reflective surface. This reflective surface can be rocks, jewels, mirrors, or even water. It is not uncommon to see Kline flying around with a flat surface of water separating the two. They will never appear on the same side of the surface they inhabit. Its name is a play on a klein bottle, a surface that if traveled down will bring the traveler back to the point of origin although flipped upside down. The alternate name is a combination of Dao, the natural way of the universe in Taoism, and dragon. Both these names reference its unusual appearance and resemblance to yin-yang respectively.
Behavior: Kline will for the most part fly around the fields and skies of Vallice. They are no more hostile than the average Chthonian although it is currently contested whether Kline is two separate independent entities that share a body or two Chthonians that share a mind. The two seem to be separately aware and may even have different reactions to the same stimuli, yet they never seem to conflict when it comes to travel or diet. They are always on the same page for every action.
Threat: Kline is of little threat to humans. They appear to be docile or indifferent to human presence although it is still ill advised to interact with them as attacks have been reported when a human gets close. Due to the nature of what they are, how to terminate Kline in the event of another attack is currently unknown. Some argue that the best course of action is to destroy the reflective surface Kline is bound to. However, this has yet to be attempted as humans are not seeking altercation with this Chthonian.
