Chthonian: Cured

Alternate Name: Wandering Root
Description: Cured are Chthonians that appear like a crossbreed of the T-4 Virus and a plant. They have a green stem with a grey root system all connected to a bulb which ends in a proboscis like root.
Behavior: Cured skuttle across the land of Vallice. If they find any dead material they will stop skuttling and position themselves over the material before injecting their proboscis into the material and absorbing it. The Chthonian then continues skuttling away. Cured does not only act ghoulish though as it has been recording rooting itself inside Twilight Trees before injecting its liquid into them. This liquid is nutritious for the trees and trees that have received nutrients produce Chthonians at a higher rate for a short period following the encounter. The species that are produced during this period are often the same or similar as the ones Cured has absorbed previous to the encounter.
Threat: Cured does not pose a threat to humans although the feeling of it skuttling on the skin has been reported as deeply unsettling. This is especially true for sufferers of entomophobia and arachnophobia. There have been events where Cured has absorbed dead humans but to date no Twilight Tree has produced a human.
