Description: Bud-dies are the fruit produced by Dead Twilight. They take the form of Twilight Fruit although they have stubby legs and glowing purple juice.
Behavior: Bud-dies are strange Chthonians as they are one of the few Chthonians that are not born through Twilight Trees. They simply hang from Dead Twilights until they are either thrown by the tree or fall off on their own. When they do fall off they will wander in a random direction before exploding. Explosions are a combination of intense bright flashes and the rain of their toxic juices. This juice is toxic to most living Chthonians although it is nutritious for Dead Twilight, which will occasionally sprout in the area a Bud-Die exploded.
Threat: Due to their nature Bud-Dies are dangerous Chthonians. If an explorer avoids the toxic rain of the explosion, they can be temporarily blinded by the intense flash. One may think these Chthonians are easy to avoid because they have a distinct glow that can be noticed from a distance however, Bud-Dies have been reported sneaking towards humans through thick vegetation and intentionally attempting to harm them with their explosions. If an explorer sees a purple glow they should retreat immediately.
