How it started!

The Chthonians began as a few drawings within my middle school notebook. From the first drawing came more and more. Eventually I put these creatures together and constructed a whole mythology from them. After that I gathered a few, made a few sketches and provided them to artist who were able to make amazing artworks out of them. The image to the left was my sketch of Solitude.

The term “Chthonian” comes from the Greek word “Chthonic” meaning “From or of the earth.” I found the unique spelling of the word and the meaning to be a perfect description for these creatures. Much like the word itself the Chthonians are familiar yet foreign to us.

The Codex!

Codex Vallice is a book that contains the information found on this site including the creation myth for Vallice. The book is currently in progress. When the first final draft is done it will include more details to the Chthonian history and at least 100 documented Chthonians! Coming Soon!!!
