
Chthonian: Tragetea

Name: Tragetea
Alternate Name: Sleeping Spirit
Description: Tragetea are one of the Unborn Remains. A set of Chthonians that are a result of Infant Chthonians not surviving the birth process. If an infant does not survive in its fruit the corpse will fall to the ground and be absorbed into the soil. On some occasions Tragetea will emerge. Tragetea take the form of a clay tea cup filled with the Twilight Fruit juice. The juice is hot and within it floats the fossilized corpse of the infant Chthonian. The corpse is wrapped in a leaf that trails off similar to a teabag. At the end of the leaf is a “tag” which is often depicts the dreams of the infant as it sleeps for eternity.
Behavior: Tragetea are an active Chthonian often running around the land of Vallice spilling the juice within it. Despite this the cup never seems to empty. This Chthonian often gather with one another. During these gatherings the Trgetea perform various dances and games before dispursing in random directions often leaving large patches of scorched dirt in their path. The dreams depicted on the leaf are also used as a form of communication for this Chthonian. When interacted with by explorers the tag will depict nightmares to show hostility, fear, or some other form of negative response. In contrast it will depict light hearted dreams when Tragetea is presented with positive stimuli. Thanks to this unique trait Tragetea is able to hold communication with Chthonians and Humans alike. The juice inside is described as being pleasant to drink and Tragetea will share this juice with those it trust. This Chthonian can be aggressive as well and will intentionally spill its heated juice at targets.
Threat: Tragetea are not normally hostile to humans although caution is still advised when intereacting with this Chthonian. The heated liquid combined with this Chthonians habit of spilling often results in accidental burns. That is assuming it isn’t intentionally trying to burn the explorer. Those who befriend this Chthonian are advised to be cautios or have first aid capable of handling burns.
